TutorAI ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information that you provide when using our service.

2.3 Data about how study sessions go

While a student uses the platform we record how the session unfolds, not only its result. Specifically:

• How long each study session lasts, and when it takes place
• How many sessions happen per week, and how consistently
• How many exchanges with the tutor a session contains
• Exercises started, completed or abandoned
• Subjects and topics covered, and mistakes that keep recurring

This data is aggregated weekly and kept in the student's long-term memory. It serves two purposes: adapting the explanations that come next, and producing the progress reports intended for the parent or legal guardian.

What this means for a family. If you are a parent and the account is in your name, the reports show you how much your child actually studied, how regularly and on what. This is a form of observation of study behaviour: we would rather write it out than let you infer it. We do not derive personality profiles or judgements about the person from this data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not pass it to third parties (see section 4). An adult student, or a parent on their behalf, can request its deletion using the rights described in section 6.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and personalize the tutoring service
• Adapt educational content to your learning style
• Generate the progress reports intended for the parent or legal guardian, based on the data described in section 2.3
• Continuously improve the platform
• Communicate updates and news
• Provide technical support and assistance
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except in the following cases:

• With your explicit consent
• To comply with legal obligations or court orders
• With service providers who help us operate (always with security guarantees)

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.

When you report a problem from the platform you can attach a screenshot of the screen. If you are logged in, the screenshot is stored in a private archive that only the support team can access, and it is deleted automatically at the earliest of: the report being closed, 72 hours after the team takes it in charge, or 30 days after it was sent. If you send the report before logging in, the screenshot reaches the support team by email only and is deleted automatically from the support mailbox 30 days after it was sent.

If you report a problem while you are in a conversation with the tutor, we link the last 30 messages of that conversation to the report. This transcript is used solely to solve the problem you reported and to improve the service for everyone. Only the support team can see it, and its link to the report is removed at the same deadlines as the screenshot.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through a notice on the site.
