How it works

A tutor that never starts from zero

Every tutoring session opens with the same question: "where did we get to?". TutorAI starts from what it already knows about you — which explanation worked, where you always get stuck, what you understood three months ago and never went back to.

The process

How your profile gets built

Four moments, no entry test: the profile forms while you study, not by filling in a questionnaire.

  1. The first sessions

You study as usual. The tutor watches which explanations unlock you and which leave you stuck, and in what form you prefer to meet a new concept: a concrete example, a diagram, the formal step.

  2. The profile takes shape

Those observations become a model of how you work: what is solid, which topics you keep getting wrong, and the level you are actually working at, subject by subject.

  3. The explanations change

From here on the tutor does not explain the standard way, it explains your way. The examples change, so does the order of the steps and the difficulty of the exercises it offers.

  4. Nothing is lost

What you understood in October is still there in March. Picking a topic back up does not mean starting it again: the tutor knows what you had consolidated and where it makes sense to resume.

What stays

Four things the tutor carries with it

The cognitive profile

Not what you know, but how you learn. This is what makes the second explanation different from the first.

  • The form you prefer for a new concept: example, diagram, formal step
  • Which approaches unlocked you and which left you stuck
  • The level you are working at, subject by subject

The exercise history

Every exercise you do stays a usable data point, not a sheet of paper thrown away at the end of the session.

  • Which exercises you solved and which you left half-done
  • Recurring mistakes, recognised as a type rather than an isolated case
  • How much time passes between one review and the next

The full history

Sessions are not wiped when the lesson ends: they stay linked to each other and remain readable.

  • Sessions stay linked by topic, not by date
  • Recurring gaps surface as a theme, not as an episode
  • Progress is readable per subject and per topic

The picture for the family

Whoever pays wants to know whether it is working, and the answer is not a conduct grade: it is how much work was done, on what, and what is still missing.

  • What is being worked on and how far along it is
  • Actual study time: how long the sessions run, how many a week, how consistently
  • Participation during the sessions: exchanges with the tutor, exercises completed, topics covered
  • Which gaps are still open and what it takes to close them

The difference

Where something actually changes

At the start of the lesson

Traditional tutoringYou rebuild out loud where you had got to

TutorAIYou resume from what the tutor already knows

Your preferences

Traditional tutoringHave to be explained again to every new teacher

TutorAIAre part of the profile, and they stay

The method

Traditional tutoringThe same one for the whole class

TutorAIChanges with the student in front of it

The memory

Traditional tutoringThe teacher's, and teachers change

TutorAIEvery session stays available

The report home

Traditional tutoringA general impression at the end of the month

TutorAIThe work done, topic by topic

The data is for this, and nothing else

The student profile exists to build the next explanation. It is not sold and not passed to third parties, and processing follows the GDPR. People using the platform are often minors: that is why the part about data is written out in full instead of compressed into a slogan.
